RTBLive - We had a four-way video conference conversation with James Mayo (CEO), Mike Jones (Business Development) & Isaac Barry (Game Designer) from 8 Circuit Studios, which is currently developing Project Genesis, a blockchain game "metaverse" that's science fiction & space exploration but allows other game universes to connect into & gamers to bring their tokenized equipment and assets from one universe to another.
RTBLive - We met with Susan Zhou, co-founder of QLC Chain, over breakfast and she shared how individuals and business owners can monetize redundant network resources (eg. unused Wi-Fi bandwidths for example) through VPN and mobile DApps through the integration of QLC tokens in a safe and decentralized manner.
RTBLive - We were at Consensus Singapore 2018 and spoke to Changpeng Zhao, CEO and founder of Binance, the largest cryptocurrency exchange at the moment. Here, he shares his thoughts on centralized and decentralized exchanges, defining crypto trading manipulation, security focus and coin listings considerations.
RTBLive - Rock the Block Live was at Tokyo Game Show 2018 (20-23 September 2018). While there weren't many blockchain games on display there, Swiss-based company EverdreamSoft had a booth in Hall 2. EverdreamSoft is an integrator of blockchain technologies and tools in the gaming industry. Its first blockchain game Spells of Genesis has been out for over a year. They have recently integrated their game assets (under the BitCrystals ecosystem) into a multi-chain wallet called Casa Tookan. At TGS2018, we had a chat with Shaban Shaame, CEO and Founder of EverdreamSoft on these updates, their games and plans for their next blockchain game - A Table!.
RTBLive - Want to be an influential voice in the community? Stake your reputation. That's the key message I got from talking to Belinda Zhou, CMO of DREP who popped by Singapore and spent the Sunday afternoon chatting with Eugene about the tech behind their project. DREP, if you try to read the whitepaper, isn't easy to digest because their core business is in working with existing platforms - and not with end users - in and out of the blockchain scene to provide a layer of DREP protocol that quantifies users Rep scores. Stripping the tech talk aside, what this means is that it would now be harder for bots and fake accounts to mimic actual human because such accounts lack the reputation built up over time by an authentic account.
RTBLive - The whole gaddamn industry is rife with scams and bad actors. This is the Wild West equivalent of the Crypto Universe and there are two deputies in town to clear things up. On Yavin, founder of Cointelligence, and RTBL host Eugene Tay, shoot out at the fake Advisors, money grab ICOs and blows the lid on projects that have no business being in the space.
RTBLive - Hacking and scamming cases are common in crypto scene, but what we like about PolicyPal is that it is no possible to insure against that. We caught up with Forbes 30 Under 30, Val Yap, CEO and founder of PolicyPal to find out how it works behind-the-scenes.
